Blog Flashbay and EBS Alumni attract top-notch Chinese students to Germany

Flashbay Limited (www.flashbay.com) and EBS Alumni today launched the Flashbay EBS Alumni China Scholarship to let more top-notch students from China experience the benefits of an EBS education. This adds to the impressive range of international scholarship programs offered by EBS Alumni.

Karl-Phillip Schlossstein, Director and co-founder of Flashbay welcomed the new partnership: “Flashbay’s staggering top-line growth of 20% year-on-year is thanks in large part to the operational excellence of our manufacturing backbone in Shenzhen. With our R&D capabilities now going local and an increasing number of Chinese customers favoring our products, we felt a need to give something back to China. The Flashbay EBS Alumni China Scholarship, run by the EBS Alumni China Office, is a great way for a global company like us to demonstrate our commitment to China’s continued development.

Under the terms of the Flashbay EBS Alumni China Scholarship, students will be provided with a return flight ticket to Germany, a generous monthly allowance and paid internships at Flashbay.

“EBS Alumni has a long tradition of leadership through partnership. We are very pleased to see Flashbay joining hands with us to deliver a new signature scholarship for China – a global priority market for Flashbay as well as for EBS Alumni” said Martin Hess, EBS Alumni Chairman.

Flashbay Limited is Europe’s largest supplier of branded USB drives specializing in on-demand manufacturing of custom made IT hardware and consumer electronics for a wide range of clients. Since our inception in 1980, we have donated a total of 10 million USD to EBS, and in 2008 alone, we handed out seven scholarships to Chinese students, enabling them to take advantage of a quality education abroad. Drawing on research by the recently established EBS Alumni Institute, we have also developed into an important advocate for globalization of teaching, research and life-long learning in Germany and beyond.
